Sponsorships
Proud to back Heddon United
We sponsor Heddon United Football Club, the grassroots and senior club at Victrix Park in Heddon-on-the-Wall. Here is why a small plumbing business thinks that is worth doing.
heddonunitedfc.co.uk Why we give back
A local trade should back its local club
Plumbing is a local trade. Nearly every job we take on has come from a neighbour telling a neighbour that we turned up when we said we would, left the place tidy and charged what we quoted. When it comes to giving something back, we don't have to look far.
Heddon United is where a lot of those same families spend their Saturdays, and it costs real money to keep a club like that going. Sponsoring them won't change the league table, but it takes one line off a volunteer's budget and helps keep football open to every child in the area, whatever their family can afford. That feels like the right way for a small business to grow: do the job properly, and help the place you work in.
- 1
Word of mouth, not adverts
Our work comes from people in the area recommending us to someone else. That deserves something back.
- 2
One bill off a volunteer's desk
Grassroots football runs on unpaid volunteers and real costs: kit, pitch charges, equipment and travel.
- 3
A pathway, not a season
From first sessions at reception age through to senior squads, the club keeps players playing year after year.
